Murata, kyocera and TDK, global leaders in components, are the benchmark of mainland enterprises

Although the overall market share has been challenged in recent years, Japanese manufacturers represented by kyocera, murata and TDK still occupy an absolute dominant position in the high-end field.Take MLCC industry as an example. With the rise of automobile electronization, leading manufacturers such as murata and TDK took the lead in closing the production line of relatively low-end and low-margin consumer electronics products with MLCC in the second half of 2016, and shifted to the production of small-size and high-capacity MLCC with car specifications.According to murata, high-end MLCS used in electric cars range from 2,700 to 3,100, nearly 10 times the number used in smartphones.


Among the top 200 suppliers announced by apple in 2018, there are 44 Japanese manufacturers, among which sunnyvale, TDK, kyocera, murata, semita and other Japanese companies occupy apple's passive component supply system.


Capacitor: Japan is in the leading position, with a market share of more than 50%. Meanwhile, it has a monopoly position in some high-end fields, such as automotive ceramic capacitor and laminate solid aluminum electrolytic capacitor.Major MLCC manufacturers in the world include nihonmurata, kyocera, maranwa, TDK, kimi, samsung electric, Taiwan guoju, huaxin, fenghua hi-tech, sanhuan, torchlight, etc.


Resistance: large-scale resistance manufacturers are mainly distributed in Taiwan and Japan. Among them, Japanese enterprises have great advantages in technology, mainly focusing on the direction of thin film.Guju, huaxin, and housheng in Taiwan take the path of scale economy.


Inductance: due to the high degree of customization of inductance, the market pattern is relatively dispersed.In 2017, murata (13.78%), TDK(13.42%) and solar inductance (13.22%) accounted for the top three global inductance production values, accounting for 40.42%.Chilishin from Taiwan and cisro from the mainland followed with 7.01% and 6.69% respectively.
